Purpose and Values
Our Purpose
We exist to make disciples of Jesus who LOVE GOD, LOVE OTHERS, and LIVE GENEROUSLY.
- LOVE GOD The first mark of a disciple is to follow Jesus' greatest commandment: "He said to him, 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind., This is the greatest and most important command." Matthew 22:37–38.
- LOVE OTHERS Jesus tells us that the second mark of a disciple is to love others: "The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:39.
- LIVE GENEROUSLY A third mark of a disciple is to live generously. To be generous with our time, talents, and treasures is the heart of sacrificial service and sacrificial giving.
Our Values
-
The Gospel: The Gospel is the good news of God's redemptive plan to graciously reconcile mankind back to Himself through the person and work of Jesus Christ. We are passionate about proclaiming this message.
-
Bible Based - The Bible is formative; shaping and molding us to imitate Christ. Thus, we believe it is vital for the Bible to dictate our corporate worship time through text-driven preaching and guiding the songs we sing together.
-
Discipleship Focused - We not only recognize the saving work of The Gospel but also the sanctifying work of The Gospel. We value seeing men and women become fully devoted disciples of Jesus. Although we recognize its not the same for every family we desire to equip families to be the main disciple-makers of their children.
-
Relational Community: We value building community through relationships as a primary mode of discipleship.
-
Mission Minded: We value serving and bringing the Gospel to all people locally and globally.
-
Passionate about Prayer: We believe the attitude and action of prayer is essential to everything we do.
- Generosity: We believe that generosity in all aspects of life is a mark of a disciple. While finances are a part of this, it includes time, skills, and hospitality.
